Local Volunteer Opportunities
We have many areas for volunteers to work in our program.
Court Monitors. We need court monitors who will sit in on DWI trials, take notes and formulate
reports about the trial. If this is something you would enjoy doing, please let us know.
Advocates for Change are those volunteers who wish to see laws strengthened and changed by
contacting the Texas Legislation on a regular basis via mail, electronic mail or telephone.
Victim Assistance - If you have a shoulder available for support, then this is your area. Become a
certified Victim Assistance Volunteer and help victims through the criminal justice system, listen
and offer emotional support, speak at our Victim Impact Panel, and more.
Media Contact - is needed through those who can write articles for the newspapers, PSA for
radio and TV, and newsletters.
Hosts and Hostesses - are needed for health fairs, business seminars, and school programs, as we
offer public awareness programs in the community.
Fund Raising Events and Programs - You are needed as a contributor and associate in Fund
Raising Events.
